The Metro Atlanta Salvation Army and a number of churches and community organizations have felt God’s call to unite in prayer for our Metro Atlanta community. Over many months in 2014, there was prayerful discernment for God’s peace and voice to know what He wanted us to pray about. From this, 125 Hours of Prayer came about as an opportunity to UNITE to seek God, HEAR His voice, and be led to depend on His Spirit to transform us and our community to GLORIFY Him”
Our Metro Atlanta community is faced with …
• Being a sex trafficking capital
• Increasing crime and violence
• On-going generational poverty
• A culture often void of acknowledging God
• Lacking Christian morals and values where our children are being brought up and exposed to
1 Corinthians 12:12 shares: “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”
It began with 125 Hours of Prayer from May 4-9, 2015, but we continue to always have the opportunity to unite to seek God, hear His voice, and be led to depend on His Spirit to transform us and our community to glorify Him.
